Smoothie Time!

Summer is a perfect time to add Smoothies into your routine. Follow our formula below and you will have the perfect balance of protein, fat and fiber to keep your blood sugar balanced until your next meal.

YBHC Smoothie Formula:

*PROTEIN: 1 serving protein powder (We love brands Be Well by Kelly and Truvani)

*FAT: 1 tbsp of nut butter

*FIBER: 1-2 tbsp chia seeds, flax or acacia fiber

*GREENS: handful of kale, spinach, cucumber, parsley, cilantro, celery, etc

*LIQUID: 6-8 oz per serving unsweetened almond milk, coconut milk or water

*OPTIONAL FRUIT: ¼ cup blueberries, raspberries or strawberries


Add desired ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Below you can find one of our favorite smoothie recipes!

Cookies and Cream Smoothie

*1 ½ cups non-dairy milk

*1 scoop chocolate Protein Powder

*¼ cup frozen blueberries

*1 tbsp flax or chia seeds

*1 tbsp almond butter

*Handful of fresh spinach

*Hemp hearts, to top (optional)

*Blend all ingredients. Top with hemp hearts

*If you use fresh blueberries, add a few ice cubes
